Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data under the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is:
- Name
- Michael Florian, trading as Off-Plate
- Company ID (IČO)
- 08618801
- Registered address
- 9. května 73, 588 56 Telč, Czech Republic
- florian@off-plate.com
Write to that email address with any question about your data.
When you write to us through the contact form
The form asks for your name and email, and optionally your company, what you need, which service interests you, company size, budget, timeline and a message.
- Why: to reply to your enquiry and, if you want, prepare an offer.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Unfinished forms: the form has several steps. When you move past the first step, what you have filled in so far is saved, so we can see an enquiry you started even if you did not press Send. We use it only to answer that enquiry, on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- How long: an enquiry that does not lead to working together is deleted within 12 months of our last contact. An unfinished form is deleted within 3 months. If we do work together, we keep what the law requires for contracts, invoices and tax records, for as long as those laws require.
When you email us directly
We use your email address, name and whatever you write to reply and to keep track of the conversation. The legal basis is the same as for the contact form. Emails are kept for as long as the conversation or the cooperation that follows from it is relevant, and then deleted.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It runs only if you click Accept in the cookie banner. Until then nothing from Google loads.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 89(3) of Czech Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on electronic communications).
- Cookies:
_gaand_ga_<ID>, which keep an anonymous visitor ID for up to 2 years. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address. - Changing your mind: open the cookie settings at any time with the link cookie settings and withdraw your consent. Withdrawing does not affect what was measured before.
The site also stores your light or dark mode choice and your cookie choice in your browser. These are needed for the site to work as you set it and are not used to track you.
Who processes data for us
We do not sell your data or give it to anyone for their own marketing. These providers process it on our behalf:
- Netlify, Inc. (USA): hosts the website and receives contact form submissions. Like any web server it records technical data such as IP address, browser and time of the request.
- Google Ireland Ltd.: email (Gmail) and, if you accept cookies, Google Analytics.
- Some pages load fonts or code libraries from Google Fonts, Fontshare or cdnjs (Cloudflare). Your browser then connects to their servers, which see your IP address.
Some of these providers are based in the USA or may process data there. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 45 and 46 GDPR).
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask what data we hold about you and get a copy,
- have incorrect data corrected,
- have your data deleted,
- restrict how we use it,
- receive data you gave us in a common machine-readable format,
- object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
Send any request to florian@off-plate.com. We will answer within one month.
You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz.
Other things you should know
You do not have to give us any data. Without a name and email address, though, we cannot reply to you. We make no decisions about you by automated means, including profiling.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
